Meet the Teachers

 Sandra Green, Director

Miss Sandy has been with the Early Learning Center since 1994 first as a volunteer, then a Teacher. She in presently the Director/Head Teacher.  She received her AAS in Early Childhood Education from Suffolk County Community College.  When not working with children she enjoys quilting, sewing costumes for local theater, watching black & white movies and going to the city to see Broadway Shows.

Cristina (Fronzoni) Lemma, Teacher

Miss Cristina is our Head Teacher.  She works with the 3 year olds, where she encourages exploration of the world around us.  She also loves art because it brings out the creative side of the children.  She is a graduate of Dowling College with a Masters of Science Degree in Special Education.  She loves the outdoors and loves to spend time with family and friends.  She is also an animal lover.  She has three Maltese dogs, Muffin, Lila and Molly. 

Deitra Weaver, Toddler Teacher

Miss Deitra is a graduate of SUNY Old Westbury with a BA in Psychology.  On weekends she likes to go hiking with friends.

 Resia Bennett, Infant Teacher

Miss Resia  has over 20 years experience as a nanny.  Resia has three children of her own, ages 10, 8 and 5.  When she's not caring for our infants she has her own party decorating business.

 Jackie Rulon, Teacher's Assistant (Infants)

Miss Jackie loves working with the infants.  She is a member of the East Islip Fire Department and is training to become an EMT.  She attends Suffolk Community College where she is studying to become a Nurse.  She is a member of the SCCC Track Team.   When Miss Jackie is not running she loves to go shopping!

Evelyn Castillo, Teacher's Assistant (Toddlers)

Miss Evelyn is a new member of the staff at the Early Learning Center.  She has worked at several Day Care Centers in the Bay Shore area, mostly home based Day Care.  She has two daughters.

Pamela Vicente, Teacher's Assistant ( Infants)

Miss Pam is also a new member of the staff here at the Early Learning Center.  She comes to us with 10 years experience she gained while working at St. Barnabas Ambulatory Care, Child Care Center in New Jersey.  Pam is a mom and grandma.
